General Questions
Q: Does the Headset work with all types of mobile
phones?
A: No. It works only with Bluetooth enabled mobile
phones.
Q: What is the operation distance between
the Headset and a Bluetooth mobile phone?
A: The maximum operation distance can be up to
10 meters, however it will be affected and shortened by different
circumstances and different brands of mobile phones. Some mobile
phones are with less operative distance.
Q: While
searching for my Headset’s
signal from my mobile phone, why did several Bluetooth devices
appear on my mobile phone?
A: Most Bluetooth enabled
mobile phones, with Bluetooth function, are capable of searching
for more than one
Bluetooth devices within operative range. The Headset will appear
as "BT Headset" or "Unknown Device" on your
mobile phone, after it is in communication with your mobile phone.
Q: Why is my mobile phone unable to search
for my Headset?
A: For the mobile phone to be able to search
for the headset signal, you must turn on the pairing mode of your
mobile phone before starting the search. If the Headset is not
in pairing mode, your mobile phone is unable to locate the signal.
(Please refer to the User Manual for detailed instructions.)
Q: Do I need to pair the Headset with
my mobile phone every time when I switch on the devices?
A: No. Once the pairing is set up between the
two devices, they will remain paired even when one or both devices
are powered off.
Q: What causes interference to the Headset
reception?
A: The performance of the Headset can be affected
by two factors:-
(1) Your mobile phone might be in a weak signal area.
(2) Your mobile phone is not within the operative range.
Q: When I can't hear very well with the
Headset, what should I do?
A: Adjust the sound volume on your mobile phone,
or press the S1 button of the Headset to increase volume, or check
if your mobile phone is with strong signal.
Q: What happen when the Headset stopped
working suddenly?
A: (1) The headset might have ran out of battery.
When the battery is low, a red LED indicator will start to flash.
(2) Some Bluetooth mobile phones; with problems of Bluetooth implementation,
will occasionally goes into a “shut-down” status under unpredictable
circumstances. When this happened, reset your mobile phone by removing the
battery. (It is not necessary to do the Pairing again). Using the latest version
of your mobile phone’s firmware is advisable. Check the website of your
mobile phone for new firmware.
Q: Why doesn’t
the Voice Dial functions work on the Headset?
A: (1) You may have to record your voice with
the Headset to your mobile
phone.
(2) Nokia phones are not compatible with voice dialing from the Headset.
Q: Why can’t
I power off/on my Headset?
A: It's probably caused by the shutting down
of the micro-processor in the Headset. Leave the headset until
the Headset is totally dry of battery and then recharge it. The
micro-processor will re-start automatically.
Q: Why doesn’t
the Headset answer call on Nokia 6310i and 8910i?
A: You will need to set your mobile phone to
auto-connect mode. If it is not set to auto-connect mode, you have
to press the S1 button for 3 seconds to answer the call.
